Cave Dress

Jacket, Bold Spirit. Dress, Georgio Fiorlani (thrifted). Shoes, Converse. Bag, Nine West. Necklace, Urban Outfitters.

Angie recently urged us all to try the casual day dress. I couldn’t agree with her more. In the summer, I find nothing as comfortable as an A-line dress. I even wore a day dress to tour caves today. I wore the dress with sandals for the car trip and swapped out the shoes and added a light jacket for the caves.

I took tons of photos on the trip. The low light conditions in the caves were challenging. This is the best photo of the trip, taken in Squire Boone Caverns::

  1. You look like Velma in this outfit, and I mean that as a compliment :-)

  2. It looks so cute without the sweater!! The "casual dress" reminds me of middle school, in a good way, lol...I was the MASTER of the casual dress back then (in fact, I had one VERY similar to yours, but baby blue...very cute). No one understood what compelled me to wear a dress with sneakers...until it was all the rage two years later!! I definitely need more of them in my wardrobe (at least one!)

    Beautiful picture, by the way.

  4. The caves are so cool!!! For some reason the last pic makes me think of brushing my teeth. In a good way, of course, :-)

  5. That pose in front of the pile of rocks is so frickin' adorable!

Hmmmm.... I think I may try shopping for a cute a-line dress that will be nice and cool for these two hot summer months. I have one already that is great, but it has just thin straps and I like to wear a jacket with it. I'd like to find something like yours with a little more shoulder coverage.

Your cave pictures look great! How on earth did you get such clear shots with your camera? When I tried taking pictures of the caves I visited a while back every single one of my photos came out to be barely distinguishable.

  8. Anon - I held realllllllly still and deleted a lot of blurry shots. I probably got one good shot for every four I attempted. You really need a tripod to take good pictures in a cave.

  9. You should take at least one "goofy" picture with each outfit, this last set was awesome.

  10. I loved looking through the vacation pics on flickr. Makes me sad that we won't get to go on vacation this year :( Oh well.

You are the only person who would wear a dress to go tour a cave, I think.

I know you're touring caves and all, but this outfit seriously does nothing for your figure. It's all way too baggy and blah. The colors are nice, but sometimes you gotta go for what fits and flatters. Even if you are in a cave.

  13. You look VERY cute in that outfit...especially with the sneakers. Wearing the cute dress and the sneakers, you look like a cute teenager.

Also, I just have to say this, you have VERY Beautiful and Sexy legs!
