Witchy

LBD, London Times. Belt, some department store. Tights, We Love Colors. Lace-up pumps, Isaac Mizrahi for Target. Bag, Naturalizer (thrifted and vintage). Autumnal hair clip, made by me!

I felt a little like one of Oz’s wicked witches in these tights and shoes. Everyone at work was staring at me like I had tried to kill Toto. I’ll admit, I have a preference for a witch’s cat. (I have five.)

I’m wearing another of my hair clip creations. This one is crafted of autumn leaves (fabric), natural pheasant feathers, and a puff of red marabou.

  1. You should start selling those hair clips! You're so good at it! I don't care what people say, you look Whitchtastic! I love this look on you! The tights are so fantastic!

  2. This is what I love about you. Yes this is a little, on the crazy side, but you're cool enough to pull it off! Not knowing you personally of course, but again & again you don these fabulously brave outfits that others can only DREAM of pulling off!

    A zillion Kudos!!!

  10. Awesome tights! And brava for having the chutzpah to wear this to work!

I've gotten a few odd looks from co-workers over the years - but they've come to expect wackiness from me now (I spent my entire Hallowe'en day at work in a Bride of Dracula costume this year).

    Good for you!

  13. Kasmira,

Which tights do you order from We Love Colors, the microfiber or the regular? I want to place an order but I'm not sure which ones to get. I'm thinking the microfiber may be more comfortable?

  15. laura - my purple tights are the nylon/lycra microfiber solid color tights. The diamond tights didn't have an option on the type of fiber.

The purple tights are great! No sagging, very opaque.

The diamond tights are cute, but, because the diamonds are pieced in, not printed, they don't stretch and recover as well as the solid tights.

  19. Kasmira, I have to hand it to you! You ought to become a full-time model or something because these outfits are honestly amazing. This one in particular is extremely catchy, and it's incredibly modest! I hope someday I find a girl that dresses like you and is very sweet! Thank you for your website!
