Honey Mustard

Sweater, Body Central. Sundress, Frederick’s of Hollywood. Belt, The Limited. Sandals, Forever 21. Amber pendant, Ali’s Boutique.

Our cat, Smunchy

I was just complaining about my struggle to create fresh outfits with this dress, one of my favorites, when the weather has been so awfully hot. It wasn’t any better today (we topped out in the low 90’s), but Mike and I went to dinner at air-conditioned Honey in Northside and I couldn’t stand to let this sweater languish in my closet any longer. I like the mustard color so much that I bought two – one for casual and one for work wear. I’m excited to work both this yellow-brown and purple into my fall wardrobe.

  2. Mustard is one of my favorite colors this season! And I love your shoes, as well. I never think to look at Forever 21 for shoes, but I should!

You actually inspired me (along with the Clothes Horse) to start my own fashion blog, so I would love it if you came by! :)I always admire how you put yourself together.

  4. I'm suprised you mentioned you were excited to try out purple this fall. I thought I had read that you hate the way you look in purple. I'm a redhead too and I always get complements when I wear purple. I'm glad you're branching out ;)

  5. I love mustard! (The color, not the condiment.) I also love this outfit!

  6. I've come around to purple...it looked simply awful on me as a blonde, but it seems better with red hair.

  7. That's a really good idea—buying an identical pair of something you really like for work and casual. Although I'm not in an office anymore, I often bemoaned that I had cute tops that only my coworkers saw because I was too afraid of staining/pitting them out when wearing around the house or out with friends.
