Studly Dudley

I love being right. Studs were one of my chic picks for 2009 when I was interviewed last February. Guess I was wrong about my weak picks: skinny jeans (they just won’t die) and long, heavy skirts (see the recent Liz Claiborne ads – in my defense, the skirts ARE plaid, another of my chic predictions).

Jacket, Forever 21. Dress, Bill Berman (thrifted). Belt, Luxury Divas. Headband, Urban Outfitters. Cuff, Hot Topic. Pumps, Oh Deer! Bag, No Boundaries.

Stairway silliness:

Details, and probably way too much leg for the internet:

Yeah, that last shot is sure to garner me some perv mail, but it well illustrates how important it is that I wear something under this dress. I wonder if the separation tendencies of the overlap earned this dress’ banishment to the thrift store in the first place.

  2. Don't you just love being the cutting edge of fashion?

You get perv mail? I've only had one odd comment (I don't publish my email), from a guy who wanted me to send him pics of my veiny feet (!).

Do you wear the dress with a slip?

I just can't get enough of studded details, either. Rocker chick, but not too over-the-top, ya know?

  6. Since I have disabled anonymous commenting, I don't get much pervy action on the blog, but still plenty on flickr and my email.

I wear a black slip beneath this dress. It's totally sheer and unlined and prone to flapping open!

  12. I'm loving the new trend of shooting "on location". And just so you know, you're my #1 color mixing inspiration. You're like... a technicolor genius, lol.

  14. These dark colors really accentuate your face and hair. Also, they make your proportions and silhouette even more visible. I totally envy your waist size. I think I am not the only one. The hair piece is lovely, however it's not really visible on the pictures. The color just blends too much with your hair. I don't know if it's more detectable in natural light.

I love your talent of presenting million dollar looks sometimes by pulling together certain items I, at a first glance, would render non-wearable. These "non-wearable" items then turn out to be the most adored centerpieces of your outfit. Given what I'd had paired it with, I think todays' dress might just look like a potato sack on me. It's a great dress and with all the other items it looks perfect on you.

Your daily magic tricks made me addicted to your site a long ago. Your trade mark poses along with the outfit and the great background make you look like an aspiring movie star on today's pictures.
