The Fourth

I hardly every wear shorts. I mostly hate shorts (like pants), but hate them a little less with an airy blouse.

Hat, Charlotte Russe (my kittens gnawed holes in it on Friday night). Blouse, Okinawa, Japan. Shorts, Old Navy. Sandals, Aerosoles. Earrings, Ali’s Boutique. Necklace, borrowed from Tina.

This blouse is easily one of the prettiest things I own.

I love how this blouse photographs against the rough, dark tree trunks. Even better, though, is the blouse in motion.

I suppose I couldn’t have shared most of these shots if I had worn a skirt.

P.S. These shorts would have looked much nicer if I hadn't slept in them the night before. They really "grow" with wearing.

  1. I'm glad I'm not the only person who sleeps in street clothes and then wears them at Sunday brunch time...

  2. What a lovely shirt! My Old Navy capris tend to stretch after a few hours too; my rule now is that they have to be just a bit too tight in the dressing room if I'm going to take them home.

  3. I love the green shorts and all your leaping action shots! I am so envious - my thighs are just not shorts-worthy these days (the curse of being in my 40s). I am limited to surfer shorts (nice and long) for workouts.

Love the breezy blouse! You remind me of sheets on the washing line (a very good memory of my childhood). :)

  6. You look gorgeous. Very gorgeous. Really the way shorts are to be worn. Compared to those who step out of their doors wearing shorts and a tee just like when they're cooking.

But you look so good. So classy.

  7. Glad to hear that I'm not the only style blogger who sleeps in their clothes before rewearing. :) It happens so often that I wear something really cool to the bar and then wear the same thing then next day. I really love that first shot with just your earrings poking out from under your hat.

  8. Thanks Passion4Fashion! I'm pretty sure a stump could take a good picture of this particular subject.

  9. Sheila - I certainly have thigh imperfections...but I just try not to care. Cellulite, spider veins, moles, etc are just the casualties of aging. It happens to everyone eventually.
