The Apple Fest was pretty disappointing (except for apple flappen and Serket Jewelry) and the train ride was even more of a let-down. The day was redeemed when I got to drive the caboose and dangle off the back of the speeding train.

ReplyDeleteI grew up in Lebanon--well just east of it in the Lebanese countryside, but I've never been to an Applefest. they seem really lame though. When I was kid... we had the Honey Bee Festival. Now that was good time. The carnies came to town, there was a competitive to crown the Honey Bee Queen, and a guy that always had a beard-of-bees. Couldn't beat it--classic festival fun.
