Confused Zombie

Happy Halloween! I love zombies, so Beefy was kind enough to make me up as one:

He did it totally off the cuff, but we took pictures along the way.

I was going for “scary” in my pictures, but ended up with something a little more like “befuddled.”

More Horror

We made last minute plans to attend the midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Esquire. I didn’t have the right pieces to dress as a character from the show, so I just dressed sort of sexy and sci-fi instead.

Coat, vintage. Dress, American Apparel. Tights, We Love Colors. Boots, Rampage.

In the end, warmth totally trumped sexy and sci-fi. I stayed wrapped up in my coat all evening.

It Is Over

This entry ends perhaps the most boring string of posts in my blog’s history. Mirror shots are dull, dull, dull (and kind of dark and blurry).

Blouse, Judy Bond. Dress, I Heart Ronson. Shoes, Two Lips.

Luckily for all of us, this is my last day in Orlando. And the last time I travel for business for many months.

Hasta la vista, Orlando

The most boring trip recap ever:

Halloween Horror Nights

I’ve never been to a haunted house. So I was very excited to go to Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights and the event’s EIGHT haunted houses!

Dress, Forever 21 (thrifted and overdyed). Shirt, American Apparel. Skirt, Mossimo. Boots, Dan Post. Belt, thrifted. Bag (below), Nine West.

Unfortunately, the park was packed, so I only made it to three houses (waiting 75 minutes for Zombiegeddon), but I got plenty of screaming in.

Green Green Jacket

The green green jacket makes another appearance. I wore it yesterday and on my last trip, too.

Jacket, Charlotte Russe (overdyed). Dress, Merona (shortened). Necklace, Macy’s. Shoes, Linea Paolo.

Pay No Attention

Today, I’m wearing this dress for the third and fourth outfit of my trip.

One and Two
Three

Jacket, Charlotte Russe (overdyed). Dress, I Heart Ronson. Brooch, Beaded Garden. Shoes, Lipstick.

No one seemed to notice that I was wearing this dress over and over. They were too mesmerized by my footwear.

Four

Trench dress, Forever 21 (thrifted and overdyed). Dress, I Heart Ronson. Boots, Dan Post. Belt, thrifted.

(Don’t worry, Sarah R, Howl at the Moon was adequately air conditioned for boots!)

Junior Miss

I’m a big fan of this very prim blouse worn under a dress. Expect to see me try it with almost every frock in my closet.

Blouse, Judy Bond (thrifted). Dress, Merona. Shoes, Linea Paolo. Earrings, thrifted.

The Mickey in the Mirror

I’m traveling (again). I am learning that my favorite packing strategy is to bring a few wrinkle-resistant dresses and remix them for work and play.

Play

Jacket, American Eagle. Hoodie, Disney. Dress, I Heart Ronson. Boots, Dan Post.

I added layers and boots to a work dress for my flight. Since my meeting is in Orlando (and very close to Disney World), I had to include at least one Mickey item in my trousseau.

Work

Shrug, Express (swap). Dress, I Heart Ronson. Shoes, Two Lips. Bracelet, Serket Jewelry.

This is the first time I’ve (business) traveled with “the golden camera.” I’m finding that the pictures turn out a bit better in the mirror than with the gorillapod and timer. In the past, I was quite disdainful of mirror shots.

On the left: gorillapod and timer. On the right: the mirror.

I’ll keep experimenting.

12th Street Art

12th street is turning out to be a pretty cool part of town. The pavement is covered in colorful graffiti. More art (both sanctioned and not) adorns the buildings. And the Know theater is producing incredible theater, like Skin Tight, just half a block away.

Tee and skirt, Mossimo. Sweater, Bloch. Tights, We Love Colors. Necklace, bag, and hat, vintage. Clogs, Kors (thrifted).
