Short, Black, and Sparkly

One of these days, I’m going to get a picture of this sequin-covered dress in good light. Last time, we were foiled by the early winter sunset. This time, a storm darkened the skies. I risked my blue suede booties (and ruined my hairdo) to bring you these poorly lit photos.

Dress, Lillie Rubin (thrifted). Booties, Sigerson Morrison for Target. Earrings, Claire’s. Bag, Carlos Santana.

I guess I’ll just have to wear it again. In the blazing daylight.

Later in the evening, I realized that the straps go on the outside of the shoulder, not on top.

    Mariquita,
Amazing look! Actually I've seen similar necklines worn both w/wo the straps.

  5. Fab outfit! And they aren't bad photos at all (although I do appreciate you risking your hair and shoes to bring them to us :)

  10. I kind of like with the straps up - it's 80s... and I mean that in a good way! I almost bought a wedding dress with a similar neckline, but my mother refused to let me if I was going to go through with my plan to leave the straps on the shoulder. I fretted and fussed with them off the shoulder, so I gave it a pass.

  12. That dress is awesome, and if that is bad light I can't imagine what it will look like in good light.

I think my wiglet would have been a bit too slutty with this gorgeous dress, but you always look appropriately stunning.
