The Great Wall of Carmichael

How many Sacramento folks have heard of the Great Wall of Carmichael? The 100 foot long mural chronicles the community’s history from the first men to modern day. It is incredibly detailed and well worth a visit. (Also worth a visit, is this article, interviewing the artist, Hugh Gorman.) See the mural at the intersection of Fair Oaks Blvd and Grant Ave and spot the artist himself, painted into the mural!

What a wonderful mural! Interesting article too.

I never would have thought to mix floral and polka dot (which seems to be making a comeback), but it looks great on you!
