Navy and Coral

Navy tank, Merona. Coral blouse, Worthington. Navy skirt with white polka-dots, Side x Side (thrifted and altered by me). Brown, peep-toe pumps, Antonio Melani. Faux pearls with medallion, Newport News. Snakeskin purse, Caprice (vintage).

No fun backstory today. I’m just digging navy and coral together.

How do you do it? The layering thing, the mix it up thing. I have a small wardrobe, having gotten rid of all those "perfectly good" pieces that made me unhappy to wear (wrong color, wrong fit, just not me). I like all my things now, even love some, but I put them together in the traditional, classic way, varying jewelry, scarf, and shoes. The clothes change, but I'm wearing the same basic outfit all the time. But you! You always look like your unique self, but you create different outfits. I know you're using some of the same pieces--I recognize a skirt or top, those fabulous yellow shoes--but you never look the same. I know this layering thing has been going on for at least a year, but I'm a slow learner. Do you think you could create a primer about layering, or about creating outfits, sort of like what you did for colors? I would love to learn! Many thanks, Kisabel

  3. Love the coral! And the navy is great because it balances it out with out dulling it.
