Simple

Vest, Old Navy. Gingham dress, Giorgio Fiorlani (thrifted). Earrings, Panagea. Wedges, Montego Bay Club (i.e. Payless!)

This very simple ensemble was inspired by a “lucky how-to” in the May issue.

The lightweight outfit was perfect for a hot, muggy Memorial Day. I thought it fitting that I wore this dress to the very thrift store I bought it from. This time, though, my haul was all jewelry.

All this for less than $5.

  2. I'm jealous of your jewelry finds too! That leaf pendant is gorgeous. My favorite vintage store is not big on jewelry at all. I probably should start visiting others...

  3. I love the dress! How come I can't find anything like that at thrift stores?

True story....I was in the post office yesterday (to send off a package) and this woman walks in with a tailored cropped black suit...capri pants and crop jacket with a white blouse...as I was waiting for my number to be called, all I could think about was how this woman could have used accessories like Kasmira to make her outfit so much better. I literally stood there and fantasized about alternatives for her. It made me realize how important accessories are.
Aahhhh, I love your blog. :)

I love the pendent! What would you pair with pearls? I just bought the most FABULOUS pearl earrings from premium pearl and I need to find the perfect outfit for them...

  11. Anon - I guess it depends on the pearls! I'd pair them with something of an appropriate dressiness level. The only thing I absoutely don't like pearls with is pure white. It makes most pearls look dirty.
