So, I bet you didn’t believe me when I said that I frequently wear one dress all weekend long – to include sleeping in it on Saturday night. Well, it’s true. Sad, but true. On weekends like this, Mike calls me “pig woman,” in reference to my slovenly ways.
Speaking of pigs, I think it would be very interesting to have one as a pet. Of course, I think it would be interesting to have just about every sort of an animal as a pet, if only for a short while. But back to pigs…Mike tells me that they excrete ammonia through their skin and hence stink. Potbelly pigs are popular, indoor pets. Do they stink, too? If I had one, I could be a Cat Lady and a Pig Woman.
Pig or no, the belt makes the whole thing fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI like the hat.
ReplyDeleteI tend to wear the same "home" outfits for days on end (I refuse to do sweats, so I lounge about in camis, old t-shirts, old holey cashmere sweaters and jeans that are too big).
I feel so much better. I am about to go to (a very relaxed) conference for two days. I was going to take a very minimal bag, including wearing the same dress two days in a row (but styled differently). I feel you have given me permission!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband would be deeply impressed if I wore a pink dress all weekend instead of track pants... Mike needs a slap.
ReplyDeleteHee. Pigs don't smell, other than their manure like any other animal, and they generally get along great with cats. I've never heard of (or smelled) the ammonia thing, and I work with pigs every day. I could totally hook you up with a potbelly. ;)
ReplyDeleteI read your blog for months, and this is the first comment I get to leave. Hi. :)
No offense- I LOVE your sense of style...I just hate this dress.
ReplyDeleteYes, sara, I remember that you don't like it (http://whatiwore2day.blogspot.com/2008/06/cave-dress.html) I thought of you when I added the belt. Guess it's still not your cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteSorry for being so critical...I guess at least I'm consistent in what I think looks good on you? The belt does add figure enhancing qualities though :) Keep up the good work, I commend you for being so brave to post yourself even with harsh critics like me in the audience...*cowers in shame*
ReplyDeleteNo shame necessary. Style critiques are fine. It's the ad hominem attacks that bother me.
