Lazy girl’s updo today, created with bobby pins instead of a hair stick.
I didn’t realize I was wearing navy tights until I got to work. I have a very hard time differentiating them from my black tights without natural or fluorescent lighting. Thankfully, they “go” with my outfit this time.
Today’s pieces:
No repeats from yesterday, except for the brooch. I have yet to use the scarf or black handbag.
This is a very smart & sharp outfit and your hair looks amazing like that. I tried doing the lazy girl 'do back when you first posted instructions, but I failed. Also: I AM WEARING A SKIRT TODAY, COLD WEATHER BE DAMNED! Thanks to your handy two-pairs-of-tights trick, my legs are nice and toasty. My husband said I looked really nice this morning and I told him it's all thanks to Kasmira. He said "Who?" I told him I'd explain later. Now he probably thinks I have a date today with a girl.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool challenge! Great job so far.
ReplyDeleteFirst time commentor here. I think this might be one of the best outfits you've put together. It's quite sharp, really, and I love the brooch on the turtleneck. I do that as well, and it usually works better than a necklace. May I just say..You are really lovely and I like when you choose 'simple' outfits, such as today's. You don't need to over-style yourself. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeletei love the placement of the brooch on the neck of the turtleneck! im making note to steal that idea. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with the other comments: the brooch on the turtleneck is really pretty, and your hair looks cute like that. Cute outfit.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Love the navy & black combo -- very sophisticated, very chic. And your hair is just the perfect finishing touch...LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you are wearing the brooch and those shoes....I want some!
ReplyDeleteIf your tights have a tag, you might could use a black sharpie to write a "B" or "N" on the label. If not, perhaps you can purchase a metallic marker and put the indicator on the underside near the toe area? I have a hard time differentiating between the two colors as well.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog, by the way. :)
Very posh!
ReplyDeleteYep, I too am in love with the brooch on the turtleneck. I hope I have a pin I can do this with tomorrow, Ms. Inspiration. (Can't make one that fast - have a skirt to finish first).
(As I sit here a bit chilly in my skirt, I wish I had remembered your two pair of tights trick.)
That's what brought me to your blog waaaay back when! I Googled "easy updos" or something like that, then I found your step by step "Lazy Girls Updo"... (which I STILL cannot master!)... and I found your blog - got hooked - and started my own "what i wore today" type blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Katie
That is so cute the way you put your pin on the turtle neck... I am totally stealing that idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
Add me to the idea-stealers - I never thought of doing a brooch on the neck of a sweater like that!
ReplyDeleteI like that this outfit is really simple - very classic.
I'm crazy about navy and black together. Great look and fantastic hair!
