Maybe you’ve noticed that I like wearing dresses and skirts, particularly during the warmer months. But I hate wearing them to the movie theater because I inevitably freeze my ass off. I’m remembering to wear pants to the movies tonight. A jacket is a smart addition, too.
I love that shirt - so pretty. And I agree on movies, and normally restaurants too. I always take along a cardigan.
ReplyDeleteCute little jacket.
ReplyDeleteOoh, what are you seeing? Please say Star Trek. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI really like the pulled-together, sassy-yet-casual thing you have going on here.
That shirt is great and the cute green jacket is perfect with it.
ReplyDeleteI always stuff a Tajmina (those cheapie wraps from Target) in my bag so I can wrap/cover up with it when we go to movies.
"sassy-yet-casual" that is exactly what I've been trying to learn from you. If I look casual it's anything but sassy. It's more like run-down-sporty.
ReplyDeleteKasmira, can I ask you if you had a great style influence as a kid? Perhaps there is a close family member or a friend hiding in the background you'd learned a lot from. Or is it sheer talent? Just curious.
Great look - what film did you see?
ReplyDeleteI've been known to sneak a hot water bottle and a travel rug into the movies. I don't care. I like to feel cool but movie airconditioning is unnaturally cold. I think it's so you buy more popcorn! *LOL*
ReplyDeleteI love that tshirt, amazing details.. and you of course look as stylish as usual.
Beautiful top! What a great thrift find.
ReplyDeleteI freeze in movie theaters too. Brrr.
Nice jacket!
ReplyDeleteThere's green in your outfit for the last 3 posts. Do you like green or is it a sub-conscious choice? :)
Stephanie N and Jane - YES! Star Trek for the second time, this time on imax.
ReplyDeletemaria - No....I didn't and still don't have any real style influence. Dressing is just kind of an artistic expession for me. I'm sure I subconsciously incorporate looks I've seen, but there is no one fashion icon I emulate.
myrubyslippers - just a coincidence! I do love green and it looks really fresh for spring, so perhaps that's why I've reached for it lately.
Seeing Star Trek TWICE just elevated you from "so cool" to "unbelievably cool" in my mind.
ReplyDeleteI echo your comments about movie theatres being cold. I'm usually all bundled up when I go there, in the summer. I find it the same with oh, malls, grocery stores, restaurants...

This outfit is SO cute. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love the white jeans and the green jacket. I also like how you've done the layering of the different lengths.
ReplyDeleteYay, a fellow Trekker!
Everything looks gorgeous! i love every single item you chose, that jacket is beautiful! and so are the shoes. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your answer. There is such a harmony in how you compose your outfits, I doubt such a thing could be emulated. Your overall image is very balanced. Your chosen outfits complement not only your body type, but your face as well. Your pose is the final touch. If I knew you, I could say your personality shines through. There is definitely a cheerful personality shining through.
ReplyDeleteReviewing your old entries with the colorful images and some funny poses, put me in a good mood yet again. It's a bit like you pull off a daily celebration of everyday life that otherwise would be dull and gray. That is sheer talent.
Really, such a cute look on you! The details really stand out.
ReplyDelete<3 those pants. i think i need them...
ReplyDeleteHah - further evidence that Deborah-lee and I are twins separated at birth. I haven't gone quite as far as the hot water bottle, but I reckon I'll be trying that in future!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful jacket - and I love all the accents of color and pattern throughout the outfit.
ReplyDeleteLove that shirt!~ I have been known to take a blanket with me to the movies!~ Why is it SO COLD in there?
