Today, I give you some less cropped pictures. (My artistic sensibilities demanded I at least crop out the extra driveway and the car at the right.)
(Yes, I’ve cut my feet off in the lead shot, but that was more an issue of framing than cropping.)
Dress, Sele. Cardigan, Old Navy. Belt, Sugadaminka. Ring, G&S. Earrings, self-made. Shoes, Nine West.
Tell me, do you prefer the cropped or uncropped versions?
(I’m very amused by the way I seem to be growing from left to right.)
I love that sweater! And the belt is too cute. I admire the fact that you put things together that I may not have thought of, but totally work.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit!
ReplyDeleteI feel that if the background is interesting and relative to the theme of the outfit, show it. If it isn't, crop.
Your uncropped shots are so beautiful! The scenery behind you is lovely. They give you a chance to show off your photo course skills.
ReplyDeleteIf the background is nice, I prefer the uncropped photos if the size of the body remains the same on the webpage, so the outfit details can be seen with the same ease as always.
ReplyDeleteI like them both! I love how I can see the outfit as a whole in the uncropped, but I also like being able to focus on the details in the cropped shots. So I voted for "in between" because I want both! And I love love love your lead photo.
ReplyDeleteI voted for inbetween because I love both. Maybe an uncropped starter photo and the rest can be cropped. I think it is funny how close this poll is. Not only do i like the uncropped for the beautiful scenery, but it is nice to see how an outfit relates to the world around it. Does that make sense? I mean it seems to give an outfit more demension or something like that which i can seem to verbalize right now. Either way, keep rockin it like always, Kasmira!
ReplyDeleteI'm torn, because I like the uncropped photos from a photography point of view, but the cropping does make it easier to see the outfits. I like KayeStar's idea of including a little of each in the posts. Love that belt, by the way.
ReplyDeletei like both styles.
ReplyDeletei think the cropped images are better for those of us who like to see the details of your outfits -- we can get "up close and personal" in the cropped shots.
but it also nice to see an uncropped photo for a little context...
Scenic pictures are always very beautiful. I think it depends on how you want to portray each post. Either way, I think you have a knack for both perspectives:)
ReplyDeleteI love the picture you led with - so pretty! and I think it's the perfect amount of cropping (seems like it's a bit in between your examples below). I struggle with this too - my BF is a graphic designer and whenever he is watching me work on my blog, he yells at me to give myself "room to breathe" in the frame. I find myself appreciating the photos of bloggers who do that more, too.
ReplyDeleteCropped is nice as it makes it easier to see the details of the outfit. I actually prefer un-cropped, especially when you have such a lovely background. So maybe some of each would be a nice balance.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate the close ups that you do of your accessories.
I come to your blog to see what you have on, to admire your masterly mixes, to get ideas. I have a nature loving soul, but if I want to see nature, I'll go to a site that features that without a cute (little or big!) Kasmira blocking the trees. I say CROP! Keep us focused! Background should stay in the background--we wanna see YOU and your sartorial creations!
ReplyDeleteEither way to be honest. I am looking to see YOU but if there is some added pretty that's OK by me too.
ReplyDeleteALSO, Hey hey hey!~ I Stole Your Style. I bought those plastic things at the craft store yesterday. I saw them and thought "OMG, that's what Kasmira made those crazy earrings out of. Imma make me some" Look for them soon!~
This outfit is gorgeous and I love the colors. Personally, I prefer cropped photos, but then, I really love to see details.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I've only commented once on your blog (I think it was the keep or swap trousers question). but I wanted to say I do love your vivaciousness. Your energy and love of life really comes through in your words and images.
