I don’t normally do logo wear. Why should I pay for the privilege of advertising for a brand? However, I was smitten with this Mickey scarf when I spotted it at Downtown Disney. It’s made of jersey and the Mickey graphic is thoroughly distressed. It’s like a really old t-shirt that’s been repurposed as a scarf.
Cardigan, Wet Seal. Turtleneck, Cherokee. Scarf, Disney. Skirt, American Standard Tyte (thrifted and overdyed). Leggings and gloves, Target. Boots, Diba. Hat, Lids. Earrings, Pangaea.
Do you wear logos?
…see ya real soon!
girl! I love Diba boots! Don't you? I had a pair I scored from DSW for about $25...and I wore them OUT ...they broke and I now have a Nine West pair to replace them but I just remember how much I loved my Dibas! I wear logo's depending on what it is, I like worn out/distressed t-shirts with jeans and big belts and boots... Have a great day chick!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable! I am usually one for sporting logos either, but your Mickey scarf is really cute so I can see why you wanted to wear it. It goes great with this whole outfit- not too much, not too little- just perfect. Oh and GORGEOUS boots!!

I've been reading your blog for a bit but haven't commented before - so Hi! :)
ReplyDeleteI had a t-shirt with that exact same Mickey graphic when I was really little and it was worn to death (might still be in a rag pile somewhere).
I think graphic logos are easier to wear than label logos - I'm not one to go around advertising for a designer/brand and prefer most clothes without any markings at all.
I love your color combo for this outfit - and I really want to steal your sweater :)

I wear distressed and abstract graphic tees for the most part...not many logos...if I do wear a logo, it's generally either a concert tee that I've picked up at the concert, or one of my cheesy tourist tees. HOWEVER- I love your scarf because I bought the gray long sleeved tee with the same picture on it when I went to DisneyWorld in November last year- I've been layering it under cardigans and vests so just a little faded vintage Mickey sticks out.
ReplyDeletewith things such a mickey I see him more as a character than an icon. (though I know he is an icon for the disney brand)
ReplyDeleteI don't like words or icons either on things. I have a few exceptions. Tory Burch bags I LOVE her logo and I have a bag that had it large on the front in patent leather but its so pretty its more art than TORY. Know what I mean?
I'm with you. Why should I pay to advertise for someone!? So I don't wear logo-ed stuff unless it's something super special or I really love it.
ReplyDeleteYour Mickey scarf would definitely count. I really like the color. You look oh so cute in today's outfit. Nice choice.
I love the gray and brown together. And the hat is adorable. This outfit would be cute with the green and gold scarf I've seen you wear on the blog too. Mickey is pretty cute though!
ReplyDeleteThe scarf is great! I love it with the gloves. The colors in this outfit look nice together.
ReplyDeleteI wear logos. I love graphic tees, and some of the ones I own have corporate logos. Reese's, Coca-Cola, and Zip Cars to name a few.
This is a really cute outfit - a great casual look.
ReplyDeleteI don't like logos for the same reason and try not to wear them; however, I do look for good quality brands and don't mind pimping my favourites (like Fluevogs, or some of my local brands). I wear graphic tees, but I don't count those as logos.
You scarf makes me want to try to make my own from a vintage T. I wonder if it would look as good as the one you purchased.
ReplyDeleteNo labels for me! I don't like personally advertising for clothing companies. Actually, the presence of a label is pretty much a deal-breaker for me, when purchasing clothing.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those boots!!
ReplyDeleteMust. Find. Some.

about the only label i will spend money on is Harley Davidson. :D but, im a cheapskate, so that hardly ever happens!! i do have a few things, but they're more graphic than logo, and were most likely clearance rack purchases. because i'm cool like that ^-^
ReplyDeleteI love that scarf! I also don't wear logos often, but the other day I purchased a Snow White t-shirt. I just couldn't pass up how cute it was!
ReplyDeleteThat scarf is TOO cute!!!! I love it!!!

I love the colour combination!!!
ReplyDeleteI sometimes wear logos, but only if they are on a piece of clothing I like. I don't buy, for example, the t-shirts or hoodies that have a logo all over the front, but I little logo is fine.
Small logos only. I won't buy Coach or Louie Vuitton or Gucci (like I can afford any of those anyway!) just because the logos are so ostentatious. When it comes down to it, it's just a purse, right? For me, anyway :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Mickey scarf, though. That is adorable and so worth the wear.
My mother smacked me for not getting the whole "M-I-C . . ." thing. She had to explain, made me watch some youtube videos, and did a lot of "have I taught you nothing?" saying and head shaking. Lol but I do LOVE this outfit. Very cute :)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a classic autumn outfit....exactly what I would be happy wearing at this time of year (well apart from the Mickey scarf....I've never been a big Disney fan.)
