I was a good girl in school – no smoking behind the gym for me! I only recall two incidents that resulted in major disciplinary action. The first was when I cheated on the solar system test in 4th grade. I think I did it because I wanted to impress the teacher with a high score. (He was one of my favorites.) The second infraction was more puzzling. In 6th grade, I took a strong dislike to our choir director and simply refused to sing in class. She kicked me out and I ended up in metal shop instead. The result of my misbehavior: I don’t know much about the other planets, I sing badly, and I love molten metal.
Sweater, The Limited. Blouse, Forever 21. Skirt, Rafaella (thrifted). Tights, We Love Colors. Shoes, BCBGeneration.
The neck bow is actually the blouse’s self-belt. I never wear it as it was intended to be worn. How downright rebellious of me.
What mischief did you get up to during your school days?
I love your skirt!
ReplyDeleteBoth of the times I've gotten in trouble involved rain pants or snow pants: in kindergarten I stuck my tongue out at the teacher because I didn't want to wear them and got sent to the office, and in grade four I refused to wear them and got sent to the office.
That's not to say I haven't occasionally written formulas on my arm before a math exam, I just know how not to get caught.
It is weird how we remember the times in school we got into trouble.
ReplyDeleteLove the shirt!
my best friend and i found an open display case... how could we not pose for passers by? our latin teacher said we should have refrained... as he was filling out our detention form. seriously.
ReplyDeleteI was a nerd and an outcast in school until I hit Grade 10 and met my best friend.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Grade 7, I wrote the initials of the two girls who were meanest to me, plus the initials of the two most popular guys, on the newly painted bathroom stall doors. I got caught.
I skipped school a lot in 12th grade, but I was an A student anyway.
I love this outfit! The cardy and shoes look so cute with everything else.
ReplyDeleteI used to sneak out of boarding school and get up to mischief.
Love the blog x
The only things I really got in trouble for was gum/candy. They weren't allowed in class but "mints" were. I ended up getting demerits for "candy" when i had mints.
ReplyDeleteA bad thing I did but DIDN'T get caught for was completely skipping school and hanging out with friends.
I want that card sooo bad! Great look today! No good stories here from my school days. In college now but nothing much happens.

You're adorable! Love the red shoosies :) xoxo, hollyinheels.com
ReplyDeletegosh darn it I love that sweater!!
ReplyDeleteI was slow in getting up to no good - saved most of it for my mid-to-late 20's.
ReplyDeleteThe one time I skipped school in 12th grade, a friend of my parents saw me (at a clothing store - imagine that) and told my parents. So a month after I'd gotten my first car, I got it taken away for a month.
Great outfit, I love that cardigan.
ReplyDeleteI used to skip chemistry, and go out to lunch when I was a sophomore (you weren't supposed to until you were an upperclassmen). Surprisingly though the only thing I ever got in trouble and written up for was talking too much in math class.
Ah, the school days! I was as scattered then as now! Think Breakfast Club - I was all of em'! The cheerleader, band geek, rebel, and the girl behind the bleachers! My most vivid early days consisted of starting fights with boys on the playground and coming home in a filthy, torn dress my Mom had made for me! ( I won! ;)- anyhoo- love this jacket and the way you masterfully mix prints!
ReplyDeleteI like your mixed prints! I can't say I ever got into any trouble in grade school because I'm afraid I was a little bit of a goody two shoes. BTW I have something for you on my blog!
ReplyDeleteOh my giddygod's trousers, I love those shoes. Every time I see you wearing them I become happy.
ReplyDeleteI really love your outfit! You look very sexy in that pleated skirt!
ReplyDeleteI didn't misbehave at all...that's why I'm trying to make up for it now.
ReplyDeleteI was the quite type.
ReplyDeleteHowever I did skip school quite a few times.
We would go GO Karting, bowling and drinking in public places. NEVER GOT CAUGHT !
I had nice handwriting so I would write all of my friends' excuse notes...
I like your pattern mixing on this outfit.
ReplyDeleteUhhh...I was pretty bad. Like every possible bad teenager "ex, drugs and rock n' roll" cliche was happening there. It was pretty fun though :)
What a great idea to wear the top's belt as a bow necklace. I'll have to try this sometime. Thanks for the inspiration!
