Beefy thought I should title this post: “Mr. T is a black man with a Mohawk.” Because that’s what I responded with when he told me I resembled Mr. T. Of course, I know it was the necklaces that drew the comparison. However, I’ll point out, once again, that I showed a great deal of restraint when accessorizing today. According to Wikipedia, it took Mr. T an hour to put on his jewelry. It took me less than a minute.
Dress, City Triangles (mistakenly identified as London Times, earlier) (swap). Belt, Mimi di N (thrifted). Necklaces, swap, Target, and Body Central. Shoes, Mossimo. Headband, self-made. Gold-tone bangle, swap. Bamboo bangles, Garden of the Gods gift shop.
Five necklaces totally works for you!
ReplyDeleteThis is probably my favorite outfit of anything you have ever posted. I wish I were your size and I would convince you to swap the whole thing to me. Or at least the dress... and the belt... and the shoes... okay, yeah, i want the whole thing! :D
ReplyDeleteThis is extra special awesome. I really really like it!
ReplyDeleteI love all the necklaces! Ooh, London Times makes great comfy dresses. I've seen them at the Bay (a department store here).
ReplyDeleteI adore this on you !
ReplyDeleteEverything is perfect.
The best part is that you look sooo happy ...!!
What a gorgeous dress! So flattering.
ReplyDeleteI really love this(the shoes are especially bad-ass)! The necklaces are the perfect finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteI really like your headband!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite looks from you! Loving the hair, by the way.

I love that you are red again. Plus that headband you made is hella cute.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love a necklace pile.
ReplyDeleteWhy on earth did it take Mr. T an hour to put his jewelry on? That's loony.
The layered necklaces look great on you. You don't look like Mr. T at all, but maybe that is because none of the necklaces is a giant gold "T".
ReplyDeleteI love this look. But i want to kick myself everytime you wear those shoes. I seen them in the store and walked right by them trying to control that impulse buy urge. Oh well i can at least see them on you!
ReplyDeleteoh holy shnikeys those pumps are GORGEOUS. oh, and the rest of the ensemble? impeccable! I love it, 5 necklaces and all, and I pity the fool who doesn't! ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been known to wear 7 necklaces - its all about how they're layered. Most of the time, people ask me where I got my necklace (singular) but when I tell them I have 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 on, they are in disbelief. Layer it up, girl! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI believe it was Coco Chanel that said that when one accessorizes an outfit, they should put on the accessories (belt, earrings, necklace, ring, etc.) they want to wear with their outfit, but before they step out the door they should remove one piece. You did better - you removed two!
ReplyDeleteAll of them look great!
Loving this whole look. You look like a Silpada ad! Gorg! So pretty.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all of the necklaces!! They work so well with the color and print of your dress. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the how the colors go together and the shoes! very cool
