I put this outfit together, looked in the mirror, and wondered if it was a little “much.” Then I thought about
B Jones and her fearless style and decided it suited me just fine.
Blouse, Japan. Sweater, Joli Tricot. Skirt, Thailand. Booties, Steve Madden Girl. Necklace, Macy’s. Bracelets, Girl Props.
I feel like the white top is actually very pretty, and elegant. You could pull it off for evening, it really makes a statement.

It's international, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteI actually really like the long column that all the layers make - and the colours are so fab (love that skirt). I didn't think I would like the cardi over it, but it helps de-formalize the dressy top and skirt.
How is that skirt for walking?
refreshing combination, though a knee length skirt might work better.
ReplyDeleteSheila - it isn't bad to walk in, but today I had some major static between the silk skirt, polyester slip, and sweater tights. Argh!
ReplyDeleteI love the shirt and cardigan combo. The top half would look great with jeans as well for a more casual look.
ReplyDeleteI think it gives off a very unique combo. It's one of those things you put on and realize "hey, this works!"
ReplyDeleteThat said, I still love that white blouse. It's so flowy and pretty.
The skirt is simply breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt and the shape of those sleeves.

ReplyDeleteLove the whole outfit...especially the accessories! I am wearing a similar necklace today!
ReplyDeleteoh i love it! i'm glad you wore it out. my room mates sometimes convince me not to leave the house cause of something im wearing. sometimes i listen and sometimes i run out the door! :P
ReplyDeletei think it works! and i love b jones' blog, thanks for giving me someone new to follow!
ReplyDeleteI think it's funny how you thought this outfit was too much but I (and the other commenters) didn't... It seems the only outfits that get a response of 'too much' are with the obvious pattern mixing.
ReplyDeleteI love the blouse's sleeves and you can definetely pulls this off :)
ReplyDeleteIts a great look .. I especially like the cardigan!

I love all the colors and textures and details and accessories. Definitely makes a statement, but in no way is it a bit "much." Love it!
ReplyDeletethat's pretty normal ...it is almost preppy-Christmas-at-home style...and it seems to be just two colors...(no yellow, no purple, no turquise...)
