Rough and Tumble

Everyone, meet my new boots. They are tall, rugged, and studly. Just like me.

Sweater, The Limited. Skirt, vintage, thrifted, shortened, and embellished. Boots, Vince Camuto. Tights (they are mustard yellow), Hue. Bag, Mossimo. Bangles, thrifted, vintage, and Garden of the Gods gift shop.

No, really, I am a rough and tumble sort of girl. But I'll admit that the "tall" descriptor doesn't apply. I'm of totally average height. That's why my boots need at least a couple of inches of heel.

  7. This might be my favorite outfit you've ever assembled! The gold buttons of your cardi really complement the tights. This outfit is very fall-like without running the risk of looking like a JcPenney advertisement for fall, if you know what I mean.

  14. They are, indeed, "studly". My parents had a cat named Studly when I was a kid, apropos of nothing. Awesome name for a cat, awesome boots.

Love everything about this post/outfit. I've never heard a woman referred to as "studly" before, and I think it is both fitting and awesome.

"No, really, I am a rough and rumble sort of girl" Really- Really- Really? Your preoccupation with clothing speaks to the opposite: you prefer clean, soft, artificial materialism over rugged, naturalism. The only type of adventure your outfits are designed for are photoshoots and traveling in climate controlled petroleum powered vessels (SUV's, planes, etc). End point, your pretty but you aint 'rugged' or 'rough'. You's a city girl!! A creature of the asphalt empire! Goodbye.
