The Kasmira Costume

This is a good example of a “Kasmira” outfit: button-front shirt, full skirt, and BRIGHT colors. If you want to be me for Halloween (never too early to start planning!), just follow this formula.

Shirt, NY & Co. Skirt, INC (thrifted). Shoes, J Crew. Bag, Nine West. Necklace, vintage. Bangles, Tala’s Distant Treasures. Spiky bracelet, Serket Jewelry. Sunglasses, Girlprops.

  1. Your pictures always make me homesick for Cincinnati, particularly the ones at Union Terminal. I LOVE Union Terminal.

  5. C Lo - Ha! Good point! Maybe a leopard-print button-front shirt with the floral skirt.

  8. I would only go as you with zombie makeup. :) I think Hallowe'en costumes should be scary.

But this is a fantastic outfit - I love the bright red necklace against the purple. Just spectacular. I also like how you've grounded this with the neutral caramel/camel shoe/bag accents.

  9. Funny you mention this, as I think we all have a "uniform" of sorts. I was just realizing by going back through the 2 months I've had my blog that my "uniform" seems to mostly be a patterned pencil skirt, a ruffle silk top and a cardigan. I guess we all play favorites even when we don't try to!
