Three years ago, I paired this polka dot blouse and micro-striped skirt. Rather than be annoyed at my lack of creativity (and faulty memory), I’d rather be amazed that both items have lasted this long!
Blouse and belt, Forever 21. Skirt, GJ Forbes (thrifted and shortened). Shoes, Nine West. Necklace, vintage. Brooch, family heirloom. Bag, Charming Charlie. Bracelets, Body Central, Tala’s Distant Treasures, and vintage.
Today and three years ago!
Not only do I still have the blouse and skirt, but I have every other element of that 2009 outfit too, except the purse. It didn’t wear out. . . I donated it because it was too difficult to open/close/find things inside.
Just curious - do you aim for no repeats? Really love the red necklace with this.
ReplyDeleteSTAshworth - for blog purposes, I try not to repeat. I think it would be boring for my readers to see me wear the same thing over and over.
ReplyDeleteI just love that color combo - super cute 'ladylike' outfit!
ReplyDeleteEven though it is the same, it looks totally different !
ReplyDeleteI too aim for no repeats and the blog helps me do that.
I love your haircut!! I wondered why your hair color is different in many of your pictures do you use a hair color shampoo?
ReplyDelete~~Renee
I do this a lot. I take it as stealing inspiration from myself. If I thought of it twice, it must be a good idea! Love the shape of the skirt. It looks super comfy.
ReplyDeleteRenee - the color of my hair looks different depending on the lighting and how long it has been since my last color appt. I don't use a color depositing shampoo.
ReplyDeleteI am new to blogging and just mentioned repeating outfits in my most recent post...it's tough to be creative when remixing dresses, isn't it? At least in the heat of summer when you can't really layer. Here is what I had to say about it!

Oh and I like your second attempt better, both are cute but I love red accents with navy! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos ! Personally, I'm really impressed! You look amazing!
ReplyDeleteI've been doing regular pony tails and updos with claws. I just bought some hair sticks (inspired by you), so I'm going to play with those. I haven't done braids in years, but may try those again too.
ReplyDeleteI always have trouble with hair pulling out at the sides, so I use hair colored clips to hold in strays. My hair's very curly, so they can look pretty odd when they start sticking out in all directions!
