I’m changing jobs.
We’re moving.
Beefy and I are engaged.
Dress, London Times. Scarf, TJ Maxx. Hat, earrings, and bangles, Target. Shoes, Colin Stuart. Bag, H&M. Studded cuff, thrifted. Sunglasses, Girlprops.
I’m staying with my same company, but moving to a direct sales position in the beauty industry.
We’re moving to Sacramento, California. We’ll be househunting in September, so feel free to leave a comment with recommended neighborhoods! We’re looking to buy a house on the eastern side of the city.
Beefy and I don’t have a wedding date set, yet. It will possibly be next summer. I’m wearing one of my engagement rings in this post (yes, there are multiples), but I’ll share close-up shots (of all the rings) in a future entry.

Congratulations! Congratulations! Congratulations! A new job, a new marriage, and a new location for blog shots. So happy for you.
ReplyDeleteOh, and you look great! No bridal white for the announcement? Is this a hint?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on all of that! Sacramento is about half an hour from where I live, and it's a great place. (I'm not too familiar with it myself, but my co-blogger and her husband lived there for a while.) Good luck!

ReplyDeleteTriple Congrats!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on all your great news!
ReplyDeleteI lived in Sacramento the first 23 years of my life and all my family's still there. I'd advise getting as far north as you can (definitely north of the American River) and east of Howe Avenue.
Sacramento's a love-it-or-hate-it type of town, so I hope you love it.
Congratulations and welcome to California!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on all the happy news! New city, new places to take pictures which will be a great way to explore the city.

Aggh! Congrats on the new job and the engagement!
ReplyDeleteSacramento is my old home town- I will tell you where NOT to live- anywhere that is not Midtown. I love the Land Park, Curtis Park, and East Sac neighborhoods. Are you looking to rent or buy?
Well, Sacramento is lucky to have you- maybe I can meet you there when I come down to visit the end of October! xo! -Bella Q the Citizen Rosebud
Bella Q - we are looking at Land Park, Curtis Park, and East Sac! Hope to see you in Oct.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations, congratulations, congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat exciting updates, I am so happy for you!! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteYay! Congratulations!! I am so happy for you!! Sacramento could definitely use a breath of fresh air like you & your fab style!! I'll tell you..the BEST thrift store in a 6o mile radius is in Stockton on Wilson Way (past the hookers), it's called Superior Thrift. They are organized like a department store, super cheap, and they have coupons in the paper all the time. You'll totally rock it! Hope to spot you there!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on all accounts! What an exciting post. :) I'm very curious to know whether your everyday style will change, being in direct sales. I don't mean that as an insult in the least, so I hope you don't take it that way! I just know that in my corporate experience, "direct sales" means that you are expected to have a certain "look," if you know what I mean. I can't wait to see! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Multiple engagement rings is a fabulous idea.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm late to the party, but. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! ON EVERYTHING!!!!! I'm so happy for you both. Yay, good things happening to good people!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! What exciting news! And I love the idea of multiple engagement rings - look forward to seeing all of them. and hopefully hearing the stories behind why they were picked.
ReplyDelete~J
I tend to come and go from your blog due to a busy life, but I love it. Boy, I chose the right time to check back in and learn about your engagement. Congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteWell looks like I'm late on this too. Congratulations to both of you!
ReplyDeleteYupeeeeeee! congratulations Kasmira !
ReplyDeleteOh how fabulous ! I cannot wait to see you in your wedding attire, i am certain it will be unexpected and spectacular like all of your outfits.
HUUUGE congratulations to you!!
ReplyDeleteAnd welcome to Sac, neighbor! :) East Sac is a beautiful place to live--old bungalow homes, mature trees, a great park (McKinley).
Midtown is also a great neighborhood--very close to downtown and it's urban. West Sacramento is a little more suburban but the houses are huge and affordable, and it's just minutes from downtown.
I'd stay away from South Sacramento. It's not very safe.
Hope that helps some. Congrats again!!!
Not sure if my comment came through, but anyway, congrats new neighbor!
ReplyDeleteCurtis Park, Land Park and East Sac, all great neighborhoods and cute houses. I live in West Sac because it's much cheaper for me, but as long as I'm minutes from downtown, I won't go crazy! :)
Congrats on the engagement too and the new job! YAY!
Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing the rings (and perhaps getting an explanation as to why they are multiple?!).
ReplyDeleteAggg! Congrats. So much exciting news on all fronts!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Put my vote in for Land Park or Curtis Park. I'm west of Sac in a small town called Woodland, which is closer to my school.
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS! On all three accounts!
ReplyDeleteI only just caught up with your blog, but having been a long time reader I'm so glad you are happy!
(For some reason Google won't let me sign in today so having to post anonymously!)
Congratulations on those big changes! Awesome that you are moving to Sac, I am in that area as well. Welcome!
ReplyDeleteWow, what news!! And Sacramento -- we'll practically be neighbors! Maybe you'll get to Burning Man one of these years after all. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAwwww that's so fantastic!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
Congratulations all around!!!!!! I will be curious to see how your style continues to evolve. A new job, a new climate, a new puppy - all that gives you plenty of opportunities to dream up even more fabulous ways to remix your wardrobe. I do hope you'll keep blogging! (Yeah, I'm selfish like that!)
ReplyDeleteI've been away from blog land for a few weeks and having a mammoth catch-up - so a belated congratulations times three!! x
