Variations on a Theme

I’m stuck in a style rut: knotted button-front shirt over a dress. Instead of a rut, though, let’s call it “variations on a theme.” Working with a single premise, I can vary tops, dresses, patterns, colors, and accessories for a different look but a similar silhouette.


Shirt, Liz Sport (thrifted). Dress, Lipstick. Shoes, BCBGeneration. Earrings, vintage. Bracelet, swap. Ring, Raffia & Bossa.

    I love all your variations! I've started buying a lot of dresses that would work for this, but I'm sadly low on button front shirts. I'll have to hit some thrift stores! Does tying them leave them worse for the wear at all or do they launder back to normal?
