Anon Hates These Leggings
Nearly every time I wear these leggings, Anonymous pops by to tell me she hates them. I happen to love them, so I wear them despite Anon’s distaste. But sometimes, as people stare at my legs, I wonder, “Am I blind to the hideousness of these leggings? Have I got some warped sense of beauty?” If I am, I’m in good company because the leggings got compliments everywhere I went today.

HAHAHAH! I´m Anon and yes - those leggings are absolutely awful! You are gorgeous and elegant, though. The leggings are an exception.
ReplyDeleteAnon needs to get with it! I love those leggings!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing a nationwide blogger search right now! Find out how to enter here!

What a cool Sporty/Rugged look! And once again, fun location with great lighting! Your photos make me want to reshoot my cowboy boot outfit from yesterday...good thing blogging isn't a competition! :o)
ReplyDeleteBeauty is in the eye of the beholder! These probably look great in person, but looking at these pictures, I'm afraid I agree with Anon. But if you like them, it doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteI love those leggings! The creativity you express with all of your different outfits and accessories is so much fun to see and of course copy, because I do not have this gift!! Thank you! sp :)
ReplyDeleteAt least s/he thinks you're great overall!
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about reading your blog is that we don't have the same style, and you're totally unique. Sometimes you love things I woudn't love for me, but that's what keeps it interesting. I do wear stripes and florals together now.
I'm not anonymous, and I generally think that the more quirky elements in your wardrobe are awesome, but on this matter I agree with anonymous: those leggings aren't doing anyone any favors.
ReplyDeletePeople enjoy your blog because you dress the way you like, not because you look like everyone else.
ReplyDeleteBest regards
Anonymous too!
I base most of my fashion taste on what doesn't itch.

I'm with Anon too. Ditch them..

I don't like em' either. However, I follow your blog everyday and your outfits always inspire mine. But, yeah ditch those leggings. No Bueno.
ReplyDeleteThe leggings are so you, so if you feel fab in 'em, keep 'em! :)
ReplyDeleteI must admit when I first saw the leggings in your previous posts, my mind's eye was confused b/c the sheer parts are not symmetrical. The boots in this post hide the bottom of one leg where I can catch a glimpse of lines running diagonally from one leg to the next. You probably know these leggings inside and out and don't realize people might be staring b/c they are trying to figure out the symmetry or if a pattern exists.

Your comment on the asymmetry is really interesting! That's exactly what I love about them. But I can see how that might turn others off.
DeleteLove, love, love how you embellished your hat with the broken brooch. It's stunning!
ReplyDeleteWear what you love! I admit that they are not my cup of tea but I'm a good bit older than you and work in a very conservative corporation so a lot of my clothing choices reflect that. You have inspired me to mix more colors and patterns and I love coming here to see your style and how you have mixed your items in yet another new and wonderful outfit.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of them either, but to each her own - I love so many of your outfits, and I've been so inspired by your looks and your daring over the years!
ReplyDeleteI've never understood why someone feels so compelled to tell you something negative. "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything!"
Love the brooch on the hat - I'm totally stealing that. :)
Rock on, Kasmira! Keep on wearing whatever the hell you want.
Cheers,
Sheila
I LOVE THOSE LEGGINGS!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo want your hat - def. going to find one in a charity shop that I can add a brooch too !

I think your leggings are awesome and very unique looking. It makes me happy to hear that you wear what you like regardless of what other people may think. Keep up the great sense of style!

My first thought on seeing someone wearing those would be the same first thought as when I see someone in jeans with holes in them. "Poor thing can't afford to throw out her trashed clothing." But since I come across someone in ripped jeans every day this is obviously something I just don't get.
ReplyDeleteHow brave you are - not for what you wear, but for inviting discussion about it. I would thank you though because as many of the previous comments have said before me, you are an inspiration. I look at clothes differently now for having been a frequent visitor to your blog. I have started to find those combinations of things that make me feel expressive. I tend to find one thing that is unique and make it the center of attention in an outfit. That is how I would wear those tights - on me - as the center of an outfit, but you have done you beautifully as always.
ReplyDeleteI think those leggings are awesome! They're not conventionally pretty, but they're interesting, and I much prefer interesting to pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think the idea of the leggings is so cool! What bothers me about them is the saggy kneecap when your leg is straight... but I'm not going to ask you to stop wearing them because of my weird kneecap issue!
ReplyDeleteJust wear what you want to. Don't be afraid what people thinks about yourself. You are looking sporty and gorgeous in these leggings and especially this cut in knee gives you funky look. Anon will definitely like it one day and remember one thing be the way you are.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit, not a fan of the leggings per se, but I'm a fan of you and your style- and like or no you rock the sh*te out of those leggings and I'd rather see someone rock something I'm not crazy about than a slew of carbon copies of what's IN. You are a stand out, plain and simple.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with anon, those are awful. I love your quirky sense of style though, and find most of your outfits inspiring! Those leggings do you no favors though I would trash them.
ReplyDeleteI love how much debate this has inspired!
ReplyDeleteI personally love them and think they're uber-sexy! Rock on I say.
Gotta admit that I would not wear them but they do fit your style (which i love) and you make them work.
