Willow Grove

I grew up in a place of great natural beauty, but I didn’t realize it until I left the state. I was blind to the sparkling rivers, endless green forests, and snow-capped mountains. Instead, I saw gray skies, belching factories, and rednecks. I’m glad that Beefy got to experience the best of my hometown on an unusually warm and sunny day along the mighty Columbia River. (He also got to see the factories and a few rednecks.)

Top, Anthropologie (thrifted). Skirt, vintage, thrifted, shortened, and embellished. Sandals, Lela Rose for Payless. Sunglasses, Girlprops. Earrings, self-made. Bag, Disney.

  1. Ha, I expect from your description that you're from WA? I've been here most of my life, longing to leave - and only the last few years have I really appreciated how much I took for granted.
p.s. your skirt makes me smile every time!

  3. And here I thought rednecks were just a Southern thing. Silly me.

  4. Ha! That's what Beefy thought, too. We set him straight.
