Black for a Tan

I always thought it was white that set off a tan, but apparently black is best for showcasing sun-damaged skin. All day long I heard:

"Wow! You’re tan. "

"Where did you go? "

"Did you get a spray tan? "

Looking at these pictures, I don’t see it, but I am apparently browning up from all the swimming, running, and hiking outdoors. (I did, admittedly, skimp on the sunscreen on Sunday and burn my chest.) I also get a lot of sun exposure in my job, walking to and from my customers. At least I no longer need that vitamin D supplement.

Funny thing is . . . I don't even like the sun. And here I am, standing in it, again.

  1. The nude (or tan) shoes with an all black ensemble...I've gotta do that!

  3. I agree, nude with black is unexpectedly great! I'm pale like you and have been using a sun parasol lately, with great results--especially as I hate sunscreen (I'm often allergic to it, even suddenly to brands I've previously tolerated.) You can get ones w/pretty prints on top and the silver SPF 50 coating on the underside for pretty cheap on Amazon, etc. Yes, another accessory! One can never have too many ;-)
