2. Spanx Wax Denim Leggings, $99.00 - $50.00 gift card = $49.00. I continue my fruitless search for a pair of skinny jeans or legging jeans. This pair has a nice high waist, but I may have bought a size too big because they wrinkle on the legs and gape at the top.

3. Honey Punch black sequin dress, $75.00. I. Love. This. Dress. It is a black, sequined dupe of my silk Parker dress. This cut (faux wrap top, long sleeves, and short skirt) is super flattering on my body type. I don’t think I’d be bored if every dress in my closet was this same pattern, just in different fabrics.

NYE Coat

In my experience, a party-worthy coat is more important than a spangly dress on New Year’s Eve. I did wear a spangly dress . . . but all anyone saw was my coat (and stockings).

Twelve Miles in San Fran

We visited San Francisco for the day and walked 12 miles. Thank goodness, because we needed to offset the pasta and wine and beer consumed.

Honestly, though, we may have burned enough calories simply staying warm and upright. The winds were FIERCE. We saw a tree literally blow over near Pier 39. It just popped out of the ground and on to the sidewalk.

Sleep In

After two days of early adventures, snowshoeing and hiking, my sister and I slept in and didn’t even leave the house until 10 a.m. Unfortunately, that meant that we quickly ran through the 6 remaining hours of daylight to take outfit and 365 photos.

Partner in Crime

My sister, and partner in crime, is visiting me again for the winter holidays. She’s up for any adventure, will eat almost anything, and takes nice photos. Unfortunately, she’s camera shy, so I don’t have a proper picture of her yet. I’ll try to catch her unawares on New Year’s Eve.
