Charm necklace, thrifted.This week’s theme (correctly guessed by Cheri) is green and gold. I explained the theme to my husband on Tuesday, while I was taking my pictures. He took a look at my outfit and said, “You mean green and yellow.” So, I guess I should specify that I mean yellow-gold not metallic-gold. It’s just that “green and yellow” doesn’t have the same ring as “green and gold.” I like the alliteration.
The theme grew out of my desire to wear this scarf and my new yellow sweater and the nostalgia that “green and gold” has for me. Those were our spirit colors in elementary school. We were the Mint Valley Mustangs. While I paid no attention to when spirit days (and the encouraged wearing of green and gold) were scheduled, I was always proud to stand up and be counted as “spirited” in my green jacket with a bold yellow stripe down each arm. I loved that jacket and wore it nearly every day.
I hope you’re not sick to death of polls and will vote for your favorite green and gold outfit this week. (And, yes, I was really stretching to make Monday’s outfit work with the theme.)

After I voted, I laughed at what a landslide that outfit is winning by. I had to think long and hard, becasue I also really liked Thursday

As a major Packer fan, I have a special love for green and gold.

Before I noticed that you put up another poll, I thought to myself, "Wow! This is the best green & gold outfit so far." However, I also liked the "Country Lass" outfit, and I was surprised that it didn't get as many votes. I voted for today, but "Country Lass" would be my second choice.

You must be an Aussie at heart as our colours are Green and Gold :) Who knows why though, when our flag is Red, White and Blue.
I voted in the poll because I absolutely LOVED Monday's outfit. I see why Friday's is so popular though, as it looks tres effortless chic. I just loved what you did with that skirt on Monday!
Today's outfit was definitely my favorite- probably because it is something I would have the courage to wear. I am not a very outgoing dresser, but I love the look of this outfit!
Didn't catch the theme but I love today's look. Being from Wisconsin, any green and yellow is henceforth referred to as green and gold. It works!
I much preferred Monday's outfit but today's is nice too. Some of the other green and gold outfits were too overdone and the one with the grey sweater just looked too hodge podge. Monday's outfit was great because it was so subtle in general with that fabulous skirt sort of stealing the show...not too many competing pieces. Today is great because of the yellow peaking out, and the fab scarf!
