Smarmy

I was shy and quiet in highschool, but my attitude was interpreted as “snobbish” instead of “reserved” by my peers. I guess it was my smarmy smile.

  1. This look is so lovely and perfect for spring. Has spring happened there yet?

  2. Ohhh. I love that jacket! Did you dye it yourself? What did it look like before? The color is great now. Especially paired with that skirt. :)

  3. Thanks so much for the invite, Kasmira!
The show was awesome and I even teared up at the end.
I met the director, who was awesome as well !
I bet she let me take 500 photos ( no flash, of course ;)
I can't wait to go through them....

  4. Tina - Spring has sprung, but it already feels like sticky summer is on the way. Boo!

Lindsay - The jacket was a pale khaki. It's made of linen so it didn't take the dark purpley-red dye well and I got this pink color, instead. I used Rit dye in the washing machine: http://whatiwore2day.blogspot.com/2010/10/machine-dyeing-with-rit.html

Reva - I'm so glad you enjoyed the show!

  5. I had the exact same experience growing up - I was quiet and painfully shy and people thought I was a snob.

  7. Oooh, my fave dress. Love that it's peeking over the cute jacket. Can you explain your thinking process (or maybe it's a feeling process) on your shoe selection today?

  8. The shoes....I think I was just looking in the shoe closet, spotted these, and thought they'd be a nice contrast. Not a lot of thought. :)

    Hey Kasmira!

I've got a question for you. On March 21 you said something about Very Serious Training. I check in on your blog every month or so, but I'm curious. What's up with that?

  11. I was looked at as quiet at school. But, really I was loud with my own friends. Those shoes are awesome. Also, I really like the print on your dress.

  12. All your colors are so beautiful! I'm totally shy too & I think I come off as snobbish sometimes.
