Double Leggings

My legs were so so cold yesterday (in jeggings), so I thought I’d double up on the legwear today. I’m wearing a pair of 80s-tastic, shiny, black leggings under my leopard pair.

Sweater, Mossimo (thrifted). Tee and leggings, also Mossimo. Skirt, No Boundaries (thrifted). Boots, Diba. Earrings, World Market. Scarf, thrifted.

The double leggings worked to keep my gams nice and toasty.

Hi Kasmira, I always enjoy when you show various ways to stay warm and fashionable during the winter months. I think I will be trying the double leggings idea soon. Do you have any tips on what you look for when buying winter jackets? I am in the market for a jacket that will keep me toasty in windy and snowy conditions. What brands would you recommend for long lasting comfort and some useful style.

  7. Anon - I don't buy winter coats often, but some of the things I look for are:

    1. Length - at least hip length
    2. Wool or down-filled construction
    3. A fitted shape - not only looks better, but minimizes drafts.
    4. A hood - it can replace or supplement a hat...and a hood doesn't usually smash your hair like a hat
    5. Finally, I recommend a down or synthetic-filled vest under wool coats to keep you even warmer.

I don't have any brand recos. My current wool coat is by Guess and down jacket by Via Spiga, but they both have some manufacturing flaws.
