Oh, wait, you can’t see the owl in the lead picture. See if you can spot him below:
The owl brooch is silver- and gold-tone with clear rhinestone eyes. He’s looking a little pink above because of the reflection of the room’s bedding.
Mmmmmm...zesty!
I really dig the look of collared shirts under strapless dresses. Keen as mustard indeed!
ReplyDeleteI always think of you when I see owl jewelry when I'm out thrifting.
ReplyDeleteI love the mustard with the red plaid - gorgeous!
how do you get a shirt worn under a strapless dress to stay put? just a strapless dress alone on me is a fidgety mess that never wants to stay over the girls & shifts when I sit or move. I'm wondering how you pull this type of combo off at work so often? please don't say double-sided tape!
ReplyDeleteThis particular dress has rigid, vertical "stays" built into the bodice and elastic at the top. The stays do most of the work. The dress can only slide down until the stays hit the top if my hips. Then the whole thing sort of rests there.
ReplyDeletelol when I first read that, I pictured the top of the dress hitting your hips. I was all, uhhhhh... I think I need more coffee over here!
ReplyDeleteI love the plaid mixed with the mustard...super fun!

You look amazing! The owl is a great touch. I am LOVING that blouse under your dress. I am really going to have to try that.
ReplyDeleteYou're always so inspiring!
I think I comment every time you wear that plaid dress, simply because I have a plaid dress that I have difficulty styling and you make me go: "Oh! That would work!" And find the owl has become part of my new morning routine!
ReplyDeleteYour flipped cuffs make the outfit--small detain, but it just adds so much pizzazz!
ReplyDeleteA wonderfully crrative outfit. Mustard looks good on you :)

Mustard looks really nice on you and I love the length of the skirt. :)
ReplyDeleteDid you see that you made the New York Times style section this week? I was scrolling through the slideshow for "best winter shorts" images submitted by readers, and there you were, captioned "Cincinnati!"
ReplyDeleteYou're image number 8 in the NYT slide show.
ReplyDeleteThis is really random, but I just found a photo of you featured on the NY Times Section about winter shorts! Check it out: http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2011/11/07/fashion/1107usergenshorts-8.html
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys! I submitted that pic last week when they asked for "winter shorts" looks!
