Levee

It was a beautiful day at the Newport Levee. So, naturally, we spent the afternoon inside a cool, dark movie theater. The sun and I don’t play well together, anyway.


Dress, Faded Glory (I may have misidentified it as “No Boundaries” before. Both are Walmart brands). Crochet tank, Imaginary Voyage. Shoes, Lela Rose for Payless. Belt, thrifted. Rings, vintage. Bracelet, thrifted. Sunglasses, Walgreen’s. Bag, Nine West.

    I always adore the shape of that dress, and kick myself for getting rid of the plaid version I had. It was too big and I got rid of it prior to owning a sewing machine. I could have totally taken it up. It's a fabulous dress from an unexpected place.

    We saw Brave. I enjoyed it. The story was quite different from what I expected. But I'm afraid it only made me more afraid of bears.
