Brooch or Button

Ang says that brooches are back for the fall and winter. While it’s far from either season here, I like the idea of incorporating jewelry pinned to my outfits. Buttons, though, are the new brooches. I love this vintage Mickey pin.

This is the closest I can manage to AW15 style in early September. California is as hot as ever and the wildfires are raging. At least all that smoke makes for some pretty sunrises. (And sunsets. The sky was the most incredible shade of purple as I drove home from swim practice. I took only a mental picture.)
