I think I like it best with something layered on top - even though that obscures some of the leather inset.
That dress is fabulous on you! I like it best with something layered under - like today's look!

Before I scrolled down to see that you also preferred it, I was kinda thinking the same thing - it looks best just seeing the skirt portion. You have great style, but in full length this dress seems to give off an X-men superhero vibe.
ReplyDeletepersonally, I do not like leather, though I am OK with faux suede.
ReplyDeleteI think the dress looks OK on you. It tends to accentuate the hip because of the lines and the front does not lie 100% flat, but that is just the material and it does not make you look >gasp< "fat" or anything like that.
Definitely prefer this dress layered - you do that so fabulously! Have to agree with Jess and the 'superhero vibe' when the dress stands alone although as a superhero you do look awesome.
ReplyDeleteYep - definitely layered. Don't know why exactly, must be that "saddlebag" look over the hip. Great as a skirt though!
ReplyDeleteI like the draped look too. Not that you look bad in the non-draped look, just my preference. And of course, now that superhero has been mentioned, I'm thinking of the fun you could have at a Comic Con or some such event with this dress.

I don't think the two fabrics play together particularly well, which makes it unbalanced in the fit. Maybe that's what you're noticing? It's cute with jackets on top, though!
ReplyDeleteI'll be frank....it makes your butt look good. So I'd keep wearing it. ;)
ReplyDeleteFrom a male perspective you look awesome in leather! Not layered as you can see your great body.
