Bombshell Redux

I’m way too dorky to be a real-life bombshell, but that doesn’t stop me from playing one on the internet.

Shirt, FY2 (thrifted). Sweater, Laura Leigh Ltd. Skirt, Banana Republic. Shoes, BCBGeneration. Necklace, Emily Lyn Design. Bracelet, Forever 21.

Once again, I took inspiration from Lucky’s Laid-Back Bombshell spread.

This time, I took Lucky’s style formula quite literally: “a solid wrap sweater over a printed blouse with a below-the-knee pencil skirt and peep-toe heels.”

This Banana Republic skirt has become my bombshell skirt:

Yeah, I just posted a montage of my butt. But the real “bombshell” aspect of this skirt is in the back detailing.

  1. I love that you always have the various elements to build these inspiration photos. I'd have to go out and buy a wrap sweater for this one. P.S. Your version is far more visually interesting.

  3. Would you share with us how you keep fit enough to look good in that skirt?

  4. Bonnie - my routine fluctuates, but I work out nearly every day and sometimes twice a day.

Right now, I am doing the following, each week:

    3 90-minute lap swim sessions
    3 5-mile runs
3 20-min rowing sessions followed by a 10-min bike session
3 times through a weight circuit

To put it simply, I exercise 10 - 11 hours per week.

Great skirt. Love the different stylings. I notice you like to pair it with yellow shoes.

You do look fantastic in that skirt and all of your workouts show. You look better than the Lucky model.
