Nude Legs

Khaki blazer, Charlotte Russe. Sheer green blouse, Forever 21. Floral velvet skirt, Herman Geist (thrifted and shortened by me). Nude sandals with black piping, Gianni Bini. Cinnabar earrings, Into the Fray. Tapestry purse, 100 Yen store.

I'm always sort of at odds with whether this is a cold or warm season skirt. The black velvet says "winter" but the floral pattern says "summer" (or at least "spring"). I guess that means I can wear it all year round.

Last time I wore this skirt, I paired it with black tights and bright green peep-toes. The shoes definitely “popped” but my legs look longer when they and my shoes are the same shade.

I actually like the previous outfit better, I think because of the pink blouse. You don't give a description of the purse which I really like.

  2. AloEnd - thanks for catching the purse omisssion! I've since added that I got it at a 100 Yen store in Japan. (Like the dollar store in the U.S. but better)

Great outfit! I would have liked to see a little more skin on top to balance out the looooong legs though. The green top'd high neckline give the look a top heavy feel. But overall, what a great way to bring this wintery skirt into spring!

i have to disagree w/ the top heavy comment. the nude shoes make your legs look a million miles long! typically i object to an ankle strap shoe with a skirt but the nude color negates the "shortening" effect in this case. clever! the other look with your skirt is completely thrown off by the shoes. i have issues with the dark tights/ bright shoe combo. your blog rules, by the way :)
