New Drug

I’ve developed some sort of tolerance to the pattern mixing. Here I am, wearing a loud tartan with a graphic floral and it barely registers when I look in the mirror. I suggested adding my leopard obi, but Beefy said that was too much. I need his counsel since my eyes are numbed.

Beefy picked today’s lead photo. I blame him if I look like I have no neck.

Blouse, Romeo & Juliet Couture. Skirt, Talbots. Belt, Xhilaration. Shoes, Wet Seal. Bracelets, Hot Topic.

Speaking of drugs, I grow catnip, inside a cage, just outside the sunroom. (You can see it in yesterday’s photos, at the lower left.) I snapped off a piece for my kittens this morning.

My blurry, furry babies.

  1. Common sense says this outfit should not work...but it absolutely does. Nice!

  2. I love the top with the skirt. To soooo works! Oh, and I love the kitties, too. :)

  3. Works perfect just as black does with white.
Seems like Beefy is your style assistant, hes got the same job as my husband.

  4. I think the top and skirt work together in that definitive and wonderful Kasmira way, but I am not crazy about the shoes. They take away from the boldness of the top, if that makes any sense!

  5. If you look at all your patterns, though, you really only have 3 dominant colours: white, red and black. The eye can handle three colours, but more than that and it's too much. I love this look!

Aw, your kitties are lovely. And you have an Inigo tuxedo cat!

And of course, all your kitties look gorgeous, but I love a pure gray cat. Lovely.

  11. A-Dubs - I knew I wanted to wear the blouse and, as I was rooting through my skirts, I found this one and thought it would be a great combo. I think the trick is just to keep an open mind.

  13. The patterns mix nicely. I didn't blink either. Then again I used to mix patterns like crazy as a kid. It was the 80s, after all.

  17. oh hello gorrrrrgeous. this pattern mix is outstanding! you are an inspiration... I love how both the top and bottom have black and white, and then the rest of the colors in the plaid and the fierce floral pattern takes it to another level.

  19. You're a lightning rod for fashion controversy. Front page of cincinnati.com: "Is she mixing her outfits too much?(9:11 am)"

I knew they had to be talking about you.

(my answer would be "NO" btw)
