Mod Lilli Ann Coat

I feel like I’ve brought this coat home again. This vintage Lilli Ann coat was made in San Francisco in the 60’s. Somehow, it made its way to the costume closet of The Drama Workshop in Cincinnati. It then migrated a few miles north to my wardrobe and, later, a few thousand west to Sacramento…almost back to San Francisco!

I love the pattern. It’s busy, but the colors are neutral, so it goes with everything:

Well, at least I think it goes with everything. How would you wear a patterned coat?

  1. I'm a daily lurker, but had to tell you how much I love this coat. I would love to score a vintage coat with a pattern, but being petite, most of the time I tend to look like I am being eaten by the coat. But my thrifting venues are broadening, and maybe one day my dream vintage coat, affordable and alterable if necessary, will find its forever home with me :)

  4. I love this! Having a patterened coat this time of year is fantastic. You can still wear some summer and fall dresses but stay warm and trendy with a great coat.

  9. If it were my size, I would bid on the coat in this ebay listing. Have you ever purchased clothing through ebay?

  10. BamaCarol - I bet that is a TINY size 14! I bought a Richard Chai for Target dress from ebay, but I think that's my only clothing purchase.

    Sheila - matching pants? Cuh-razy!
