The boys after our Sunday hike:

We returned to Feather Falls and Jackson's trail manners are getting so good!

Can you tell me about "trail manners?" I want to start hiking off leash with my border mix, but also don't want to annoy others. What should I work on?

P.S. Love the purse!
Hi Vicki. We are working on passing others politely and only interacting when invited. I taught Jasper to "take a break" which means we step off to the side and let others pass. I also do frequent recalls with my two finger whistle, rewarding with treats.
