In fact, they don’t match at all today…but they “go.”
They’ve held up well in six years* of wear:
*These photos don’t represent the full six years. I didn’t start my blog until fall of 2006. And didn’t wear the shoes on the blog until March of 2007.
Wow! I cant get my heels to last a season. I have to ask, do you walk a great deal downtown in your shoes or do you pack a "junky" pair to walk in and keep your others in better condition? Or do you simply have a secret to making shoes last longer?
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog and I'm so pleased that I did because I think its really interesting. I love your outfit and its definitely one of the best I have seen around. The use of colour is just perfect and all the pieces are beautiful. You have amazing style. I like your shoes and I'm very amazed at how many outfits you can style them with. I often have trouble styling coloured shoes so I should take some tips from you.
ReplyDeleteLeslie - this pair isn't really comfortable, so I usually bring a backup pair of flats for any outdoor walking. That has definitely contributed to their longevity!
ReplyDeleteImogen - Your comment reminded me that I once answered a reader question on how to style lime green pumps. Perhaps it could help you with your other colored shoes?

I so love these shoes!
ReplyDeleteBut even more so, I love the montage of photos. You can really see how versitile your style is.
The lime shoes look great with the dark purple and gray.
ReplyDeleteI am amazed that you have gotten those pumps to last for so long.
Man, I love your recap. So great to see all the ways you have worn these. Looking forward to the time when my blog has been going long enough to see all the ways I have worn an item.
ReplyDeleteAlso loving your waistcoat with your dress.
I agree, I love seeing all the ways you've worn your shoes (and I love seeing "our" tweed Talbots skirt). You really have a fabulous style, and are fearless when it comes to trying new things!
ReplyDeleteLove the green with the purple today.
Oh, and you're featured in my entry today. :)
I, too, enjoy the montage of (almost) 6 years of styles. I also love that often pair the wonderful shoes with something red. Green and red is a combination I cannot resist!
ReplyDeleteEvery time you wear this dress - I love it even more!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that turquoise blazer and went looking on eBay. There's an eggplant version for $20 right now. It won't fit me, but just in case it fits you or a reader:
