It’s my last day as a blonde. This shirt arrived from the 15dollarstore last night and I wanted to pair cherry red with my platinum blond hair one more time.
Blouse, Romeo & Juliet Couture. Dress, Jones New York. Bracelet, Mod Cloth. Belt, Wet Seal. Jacket, Forever 21 (overdyed). Shoes, Audrey Brooke.

This is a brilliant pattern pairing...Love it! But why bye bye blond? The blonder the better I always say.
Love the pattern mixing yet again. I fall more and more in love with the zebra dress each time I see it.
Can't wait to see the new hair!
Looking forward to seeing your new 'do! I bet it will be stunning.
xx
This pattern pairing is genius! Wow. It works so well.
Love the colour and pattern mixing. Looking forward to seeing your new look.
loving that purse!
where is it from?
I have to enthusiastically agree with Olivia above - simply a brilliant pairing of colors and patterns - I love your moxie, girl! Love it!! You totally inspire me to take more chances with my wardrobe - thanks for that!
That zebra skirt is making my heart go pitter-pat.
Eee! so exciting! I can't wait to see the new hair.
I just love how much wear you get out of that dress.
Aw-like your top :) xx
I'm wondering if it's normal to be as excited as I am to see the new hair. Probably not something I should dwell on too much.
LOVE this pattern combination!
P.S. How would you rate the Fifteen Dollar Store? I've always been too nervous to buy from them.
It's funny, when I rediscovered your blog recently I didn't even realize that you and long-haired redheaded you were the same person! Way to mix it up!
And that's nuts about Heather- I should've figured that in Cincy everyone knows at least one person in common! If you get your hair cut at Taylor, you should stroll down to my shop- it's right on Chase two storefronts from Hamilton. Also, we're helping to put together a professional burlesque show with Taylor Jameson this weekend at Mayday (formerly the Gypsy Hut)!
what about that lovely purse?? where did you score that one? it's darling!
The top is lovely! And ohmygoodness that bag is wonderful.
love this outfit. and can't wait to see the new hair. hooray!
OMG - I adore everything about this outfit!!! That top is amazing and looks great paired with the bold zebra. Don't be surprised if you see me show up with that shirt in the future....!
Love the zebra mixed with plaid! I really love, love, love the bag...please tell us where it is from!
Love the zebra, the hair, (and I can't wait to see the finished product- I'm often red/orange noggin'd myself!) and the gorgeous handbag!
I do have a question for you, though- when you overdye things, do they shrink? I'm about to do it on something new (I've only dyed vintage in the past) and I don't know if I should worry about it shrinking...
The purse is from Meijer. (Sorry not to answer earlier. I actually *did*, but my comment didn't stick!)
I also commented on the 15dollarstore, but, again, my comment is gone! I've had only good experiences with the 15dollarstore. Shipping is always prompt and the item has been as pictured/described. The sizing IS juniors, so things run small.
ReaderRita - RIT dyeing is done in hot water, so it couldvery well shrink an item. Maybe there are some cool water dyes out there?
Thank you for the info!
I sadly figured as much because of the hot water-
were your denim items new or thrifted when you overdyed them? (and did they shrink ?)
My drama is this: I can't find the jacket (olive green) I want in stores, but I could buy and overdye a jean jacket- the problem is that the small jacket fits just right, and the medium is big- hence my conundrum.
Any opinion other than my own is greatly appreciated at this point!
ReaderRita - I've overdyed both thrifted and non-thrifted denim but haven't had a problem with shrinking. The only thing that every shrank when I dyed it was a skirt (of unknown fabrication) that I had only ever washed in cold water. When I dyed it, it shrank so bad that it lost its shape and exposed the lining. Boo!
Thanks again for the info! My hubby "helped" with housework by doing the laundry once, and I had a vintage cardigan suffer the same sad shrink-fate as your skirt.
(And he was so sad and sweet about it that I actually felt bad.)
