I was reaching for a sheer, aqua* blouse to wear under the splotched dress, when I spotted a dress-turned-into-a-shirt patterned in shades of turquoise, olive, and brown. I placed the two printed items side by side and thought “it just might be ugly enough to work.”

Dress and bag, Mossimo. Shirt, INC (hacked from a swapped dress). Belt, H&M. Shoes, J Crew. Bracelets, vintage, World Market, and Fort. Earrings, Monica D. Ring, vintage.

*Maggie also inspired my past pairings of blue-green with this dress. She owns it in solid olive and has accessorized it with a turquoise belt.

I think this is one of my favorite pattern mixes of yours. It's SOOOO unexpected and it really really works.

So fun!
OK, you are getting back to yourself.... way to weird for me but I can appreciate that it is sort of like a watercolor or even a stack of magazine pages, wet and with the different patterns fading into each other...
I like this outfit a lot! I really think the shoes and bracelets tie together the pattern mixing nicely.
