I Wore This Yesterday

One of the questions I’m most often asked is, “Do you repeat outfits on days you don’t take pictures?” My answer: “Not often. Sometimes with casual outfits but almost never with work outfits.” But, today, I’m wearing the exact thing I wore to work yesterday, down to the accessories.

Dress, Old Navy. Shoes, Isaac Mizrahi. Hat, Charming Charlie. Necklace, thrifted. Bracelets, Tala’s Distant Treasures and gift. Bag, Target.

Although I slept in until 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning (missing my morning swim), the day was pretty intense and left no opportunities for outfit photos. Since I didn't see any of my Tuesday people on Wednesday, I figured I’d just put the same outfit on and finally photograph it.

On Tuesday, I didn’t even take my first picture of the day until evening agility class with Jasper.

Today, I got more creative and took a picture of a stranger’s butt (and the Granola Girl food truck where I bought my lunch).

Raspberry Repeat

As I was driving to work this morning, I looked down at my outfit and thought, “Gee, this looks familiar.” It turns out that I wore almost this exact outfit last January. Don’t worry, I won’t repeat it a third time. I’m tired of taping this dress closed over my boobs. It’s going in the donation pile.

Blazer, BSB Jeans (thrifted). Dress, Theory. Boots, Audrey Brooke (consignment). Sunglasses, Meow Meow. Bag, Clark’s.

Details from today:

I hurried home after my calls to change and take Jackson to the vet. He did not appreciate getting his temperature taken. (But all is well. He has kennel cough, despite vaccination, but no fever.)

Yellow Crisp

Pinstriped jacket and pumps, Mossimo. Sweater and trousers, Moda International. Earrings, H&M (swap). Bag, Nicole Lee. Ring, Silpada.

This is another repeat with just a color change. But, I’ve gone a step further and changed the wall color as well. I’m nothing if not thorough.

These are the pants I was complaining about in my I Hate Pants entry. I still don’t think I like them. I read somewhere that if a pair of pants fit properly, they fall in a straight line from the apex of the butt’s curve to the hem*. (I.e. they don’t cup your cheeks.) Obviously, I’ve got some butt hugging going on here. I’m doing my best to blame the pants, not myself. It is tricky to find pants that fit well. That is why I wear skirts.

Enough about stupid pants. Funny pictures:

*I can’t find this bit of guidance anywhere online. I’m wondering if it is outdated or particular to only one style of trousers.

Pink Punchy

Lace blouse, Newport News. Tank, Banana Republic (thrifted). Skirt, Talbot’s. Pumps, Pulse. Ring and earrings, Target.

This is really just a pink version of an outfit I wore almost two years ago.

Hmmmm...I seem to have lost the knack for that "slink" pose.
