I love how you used the neutral jacket to break up all that plaid. This look is one that I think you pull off amazingly but that I'm a little to shy to try myself.

I adore plaid. I think it's that ancestral Scottish part of me that makes my blood just sing when I see a good tartan.
Thanks for adding me to your blog roll! (I squealed in delight when I saw you hopped over to my site earlier. I've been admiring your style for so long!)

I really like the red plaid shirt. I've seen you wear it before, and I always wish I had it!

angie - I've had the skirt for awhile. This is the first time I've thought to mix it with another pattern.

I have come to firmly believe that anything you pair with that R&J plaid blouse is pure genius. That blouse is MAGIC, I tell you. Love this outfit - big yes on the shoes! So the conclusion is that we all need our own copy of the magic plaid blouse (and possibly the matching shoe counterparts)!

Adorable.

On another note, I always wonder if you are having a bad day when you are....uh.....less wordy than usual. So....I hope you had a good day. You looked great!

I'm with Schoolmarm- the jacket breaks up the plaid nicely. But it also unites the different plaids. Love this outfit, even though it almost seems subdued for you....
