I Bee Pale

Tartan dress, Frederick’s of Hollywood. Belt, Luxury Divas (via Amazon). Sandals, Etienne Aigner. Bee pendant, Bath and Body Works. Sunnies, Big Lots.

This bee-shaped pendant was attached to a Bath and Body Works gift bag I won at a holiday party in January. Actually, I won a molded monstrosity in the form of a moose holding a hunting rifle, designed to hold toilet paper. Thankfully, someone pitied me enough to trade. I’ve had the gift bag in my “regift” pile since then, but removed the charm today to wear as jewelry. I think I’ll keep it.

Sometimes I wonder if I am just too damn white to expose this much skin. Greens and blues, in particularly, emphasize how pale I am. I suppose glow-in-the dark skin just makes the whole redhead façade more convincing.

Don't ever feel bad about pale skin. Your complexion and skin tone will thank you when you are older!

This is a cute outfit, and I love your haircolor. Do you color it and if so, at home or in salon? I'm a light blonde who has been wanting to go red for years but am a little nervous about picking a color.

snowflake - I color at home. I use Feria reds - usually something with "auburn" in the description. Sometimes it comes out a little purple, but it fades so quickly I don't stress about it.

If your hair is pale already, you might want to consider a salon because they can customize the solution to minimize the "lift" (the damaging part). The box color is sort of "one size fits all" and can be unnecessarily damaging.

Don't worry about being fair, as you get older you will be thankful! And I love this look! I got a green/white sundress a few weeks back that I'm wearing this weekend. I love it!

Pale rules - I love my pale skin. Remember, when you are old (like me, haha), paler skin is so much less wrinkly than tanned skin.

You look lovely in this dress. Brava!

I'm pale one as well, and I recently heard that "pale is the new tan"! (A really tanned girl in her early 20's told me this, so I believed her, lol) I think being "pale" or "fair skinned" makes us look that much classier and refined...kinda like royalty, right?

I spent all last summer admiring that dress and going back and forth on whether to buy it. It looks great on you!
