Like a Bruise

Sweater, Forever 21. Dress, Sele. Tights, Chinese Laundry. Sandals, Nine West. Bracelet, Urban Outfitters. Belt, swap. (And wet hair - sigh.)

Whenever I wear black and purple together, I feel like I’m dressed as a giant bruise. You can’t see it, but my toenails are purple too! (From polish, not bruising.)

I just got this belt from a swap. The buckle has little bits of shell embedded in black enamel. It’s lovely!

My partner used to insist on wearing black and navy together and I told him he looked like a bruise. I think as long as the purple has some actual color to it, like your sweater, it looks fine.

Very pretty, I have an outfit planned for next week dressing the same colors. I like the combo.

Love the belt, love the whole outfit. I'm partial to that color purple. And I remember back in the day when you thought you hated purple! Maybe not this shade though; my memory's not THAT good.

This is the most beautiful bruise I've seen all week, even though it doesn't seem very bruise-like to me. ;-) THIS is what I call a bruise: (it's just a dress, and a very nice one, but still very bruise-like):

When I see you in this outfit, I think to myself "a delicious glass of wine" before anything relating to bruises enters my mind. I'll bet the purple toenails are a perfect accent to this very pretty outfit. Love the sweater and wish I could see the belt buckle up a little closer.

All colors aside, this ensemble is very flattering for your body shape, very modest on then top, but then, "Woah! Nice legs!"

Alex - you're right, I should have taken a detail shot of the belt! I can do that tonight and then update this post.

KD - ewwww, I don't like that dress' colors at all! It's like a bruise threw up.
