Sweaty Sunday - Heart Half Marathon

Today I ran my 4th half marathon in my best time yet: 2:02:30 (as timed by my watch). Officially, it took me a bit longer. The race organizers didn’t stop the official clock while I used the porta potty at mile 2.

I have no intention of running the marathon at that pace. I wouldn’t make it past the halfway point.

Other than the pace, today was practice for the full marathon. I ate like I would before the big race. I perhaps hydrated a bit too much (thus the stop during the run). And I tried carrying my Gu and gear in my new skirt from RaceReady. (The skirt is great! Thanks for recommending RaceReady!)

I'm gearing up for an 18-mile run next week!

Way to go chica!! What an accomplishment.

I'm glad you like running in the rain b/c this morning was pretty wet out! Thankfully - it dried up by the time I did my whimpy 5K :)

You are bleeping awesome!!!!!

That pacing is great =) It would be totally insane to run a full at that pace, I wouldn't be able to run 4 miles at that pace LOL. Idk maybe not. Anyway, congrats! You rock =) The photos are too cute btw.

There are books and websites available to help you with a training plan. I used the schedule on th Pig website and also read How to Train for and Run Your Best Marathon.
