California Oranges

You may not think of California first for oranges, but it seems like every other house in our neighborhood has an orange (or grapefruit or lemon) tree. When I moved into the house in November, the orange tree was loaded with fruit. As wonderful as the fruit and juice were all winter, my favorite orange-tree-season is now, when they are all in bloom and filling the neighborhood with the most delectable scent.

Shirt, Old Navy. Dress, Bar III. Shoes, Prabal Gurung for Target. Sunglasses, Girl Props. Necklace, heirloom. Cuff, vintage. Rings, gifted, vintage, thrifted, and/or heirloom. Bag, Go Jane.

Orange blossoms do not smell like oranges. They smell like other white flowers – gardenia, lily, magnolia, tuberose. White flower scents are my favorite.

Hi Kasmira!!
It looks like California really suits you! I bet the more consistent temps. are a plus. I love your new photo spaces (and techniques - go Beefy!). Your outfits are still distinctly YOU :)-and always so creative.

Cincy is still pretty much the same, cool then hot, from the 50's to the 80's in one day.
I,however, have a new 'hobby'....
It's the Cincinnati Roller Girls! I love them. School teachers by day, fishnet-wearing tough skaters by night. what's not to love?
And we have a new kitty. She is dreamy...
Hope all is well with you :)
Hugs,
Reva

You're right. When the orange trees are blooming, it is the best time in the Central Valley. It always means that summer vacation is right around the corner. Of course that also means that 100 degree temps are on the way too. Gotta take the good with the bad I guess. : )
