Beware the dress code that changes from cocktail to casual shortly before the event. I dressed for the “casual” and it turned out that most went with the original “cocktail.” I felt very silly in my colorful, summery outfit and quite jealous of the black sequin hotpants someone else was wearing.

Shirt, One Star (thrifted). Dress, Mossimo. Scarf, Calypso St Barth for Target. Wedges, Tom’s.
Ah, well, you win some, you lose some.

How do you change a dress code RIGHT before the event ?
Anyways you have the capability that many of us do not have: capability to pull things off and make them work.
